Why Idubeda?

Idubeda was an old Roman name, it was the name of different places. One of them was one point where three old shires of the Empire were adjacent, where the people had got an excellent commercial and friendly relationship. Other place was a mountain range that now we call Sistema Iberico, but the authentic reason of the blogs's name is that Idubeda was the old name of a nice river, where I sometimes go to take a bath and enjoy with the wiews during my holydays, of course!. It has a really clean and fresh water during all its flow and a lot of different tipes of fish. It's a river with an excellentood health.

Sometimes I remeber one day, when I was a child, that one old man, who was fishing in this river, said me that the life is like a river, and now I think that it's true, well... not exactly, but it's an excellent approach.

We can imagine a child like an insignificant river, starting its flow in the high mountains. Furthermore, when you're a teenager you become energetic and bad-tempered, this's the moment when the rivers are strong, energeitc, with a lot of waterfalls,.. this's the more beutifull moment for a river and for our lifes, is like our golden age talking about the physical (of course).

Time after time, we become more conservative and quiet, to finally arrive at the end of our lives, where we 're tired and laid-back, and obviously, our health is not an example of perfection. Yes! like the river, that usually arrives to the sea full of soap, chemicals or furniture.

In my oppinion, the more you respects the rivers, the more you respects the life, it's true!! I belive in it, but if the life is like a river I add that I hope to keep clean my own river-life until the end, and if I arrive, I'll be energetic, with an excellent health and young mind, as young as possible.

Beautiful post, Plinio, establishing this parallelism with the Idubeda river and life. I read it at a very important moment in my life when these thoughts are part of every day’s thoughts. Thanks, I enjoyed myself very much with your words! Keep going on!
I did not concentrate on the language for I am ready to go to Mallorca with my granddaughter. I'll be back to comment on that soon.
Enjoy the long week end!
